Absurd, festive and experimental avant-prog rock

HYPER LA CHAISE was formed in 2019 by five musicians from diverse backgrounds, united by their appetite for intricate grooves. Driven by raw and transgressive energy, their music is an experimental laboratory where rock, jazz, electronics, metal, and contemporary music influence and destabilize one another. Their performances have been described as “a staircase that bends the diagonal,” “a tent taking flight,” or “cars flattening themselves to pass under bridges.” Released in 2022, their debut album vortex cathedra already challenged conventions, unfolding as an initiatory journey marked by ruptures of the horizon of expectation. The group is currently preparing a new album for 2027, inspired by the writings of the surrealist author Daniil Kharms, with several pieces to be premiered exclusively at this concert.
